Swift Current City RCMP acted quickly last Friday when they recognized a male that was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.
Fifty-one-year-old Darrell Arthur Ginter was arrested, following police obtaining a warrant to enter a residence on Chaplin Street in the city.
In addition to the original charges of Assault by Choking, and Mischief Over $500, Ginter was also charged with the following:
- Resist a Peace Officer
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
- 2 counts of Possession of a Firearm Without a License
- 2 counts of Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
- 2 counts of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
- Unlawfully Possessing a Radio Jamming Device
He appeared in Swift Current Provincial Court on May 31, where he was then released from custody to appear again on June 28.
