A report of a suspected gun left outside a Swift Current building has led to numerous charges being dolled out.

The Swift Current City RCMP was tipped off about the weapon, on May 22 at 3:47 p.m., as it was leaning against a building on the 100 block of 11th Avenue Southeast.

Upon arriving on the scene police determined that it was a paintball gun, however, a backpack laying beside it contained multiple large knives. The RCMP also searched a black Dodge Charger at the location and discovered electronics, knives, and crystal meth.

After speaking with occupants at the residence, two suspects that claimed the items were arrested.

Leader's Daniel Koldingnes was charged with one count each; of possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking, of possession of a weapon, and of possession of stolen property.

Medicine Hat's Kelsie Mast was charged with one count of possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of failing to comply with conditions of her release order.

Koldingnes was released on a release order on May 25 and had his case adjourned until June 15.

While Mast was detained on May 30 and will be back in court on June 15.
