On a cool Sunday in southern Saskatchewan a group of air cadets from Swift Current took to the skies for one of the last flights at the Air Cadet Gliding School in Moose Jaw.

The school celebrated its 40th anniversary lately and Sergeant Josh Cook from Swift Current says the program has had a major impact on his life.

"It's helped me develop as a leader and in other useful skill. I'll be planning to get my glider licence and possibly even my power license out of this program"

With winter on the way, the gliding school will be shutting down for the winter before returning to the skies in the spring.
