From swimming, to skating, to a family festival, the City of Swift Current once again has planned a fun-packed week for February break.

Val Choo-Foo, the In Motion coordinator for the City, said Family Fun Week encourages quality family time.

“Activities offered throughout Family Fun Week provide a great opportunity for families to participate in some fun activities that encourage physical activity," she said.

The week kicks off with a family skate at InnovationPlex on Monday morning, hosted by the Pioneer Co-op. Hot dog combos, prizes, and free skating--all from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A Family Festival with bouncy houses, face painting, games, and snacks is taking over the Stockade at Kinetic Park on Tuesday, running from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Swift Current Museum is encouraging folks to come out for Spy School Tuesday through Friday, with their Cipher Decipher Exhibit.

Wrapping up the weekend is the Centre's annual fundraising event, the Coldest Night of the Year. Folks will get bundled up for walk on Saturday evening to support youth programming in Swift Current.

And thanks to sponsorship from the Kiwanis Club of Swift Current, children 14 and under swim free at all family and public swim times for the rest of February.

More details and the full schedule of events happening throughout Family Fun Week can be found on the City of Swift Current's website
