It's going to be a Christmas fantasyland at the Garden of Eden Greenhouse and Gifts next weekend.

They will be hosting their Winter Wonderland Christmas Market on Saturday, December 3.

Helping set up the Christmas magic is Elli Friesen, head of marketing for Garden of Eden Greenhouse and Gifts.

"We're gonna do a lot of activities to make it a fun-filled day for the whole family," shared Friesen. "We wanna see the whole community come on out."

Folks from across the southwest are invited to escape to the holiday celebration, which will feature photos with Santa Claus, horse-drawn wagon rides, face painting, and a turkey reuben lunch that will start at 11 a.m. and finish serving at 2 p.m.

Over in the big red barn, there will be over 30 local vendors for folks looking to shop local this Christmas season. Amongst them will be folks selling jewelry, candy and even some holiday baking.

"We also have live music happening from a local musician," Included Friesen. "They go from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and then again from 1 to 2 p.m."

To enter and wander around the Winter Wonderland Christmas Market is free. It's still a good idea to bring cash for the vendors, and perhaps a toonie for the wagon rides.

Of course, the Garden of Eden Greenhouse and Gifts will have their seasonal stock of both greenery and gifts to look through. Things like Christmas trees and poinsettias, and a wide variety of Christmas decor will be available to purchase, perhaps filling out the wish list of someone still in need of a gift.

"We believe that Christmas is everyone coming together and enjoying everything that Christmas has to offer," said Friesen. "That is why we love to put on something like this. That's why we put in extra activities so that we can have the whole family come out. We want everyone to have fun."

For those a little more eager to begin participating in Christmas activities, they also have a Christmas Cookie House workshop for children, in which the completed houses will be judged at the Winter Wonderland Christmas Market. Starting at 3 p.m, judges will see who has the winning skills in cookie home construction.

The day will be starting at 10 a.m, and continue into the afternoon until 4 p.m. Folks can expect fun, finds, and friendly faces in attendance for the Winter Wonderland Christmas Market.
