While many love the holiday season, for some it's not a time of the year they particularly enjoy.

It's called the "holiday blues", according to Ruth Smith with the Swift Current Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association: "People just being lethargic, not wanting to get out, move around, and just finding things are harder than usual... that happens a lot."

Smith suggests for anyone that may be suffering from the "holiday blues" to make sure they have someone to talk with to try and keep their thoughts straight and try to get plenty of rest. She also adds if you are seeing someone in Mental Health already, try to schedule an extra appointment around this time.
