The play of Bronco Goaltender Jon Groenheyde Sunday night resulted in a standing ovation when he was named the game's first star.

Groenheyde stopped 32 shots in Swift Current's 2-1 win over the Kootenay Ice, flashing the leather on some stops, resulting in some highlight reel material.

Groenheyde says it can be fun to make big glove saves:

He adds the team is coming together: "I've seen the team improve quite a bit, even since I've been here we were coming together, and I think we can do great things if we just stay consistent and everyone pitches in and does their job."

After last night's game, the Broncos are five points back of the 8th place Regina Pats for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference heading into Wednesday night's game against 9th place Red Deer.
