What better way to start the school year, than with a pancake breakfast?
That's the thought behind the Gull Lake School's September 5 back-to-school pancake breakfast, open to members of the community from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Helping flip the flap jacks and man the griddle is Dave Waizer, the Chief of Gull Lake Ambulance. He will be helping the School Community Council (SCC) and Ranch House Meats provide a delicious day one of the school year.
"Last year was really good," said Waizer. "We're hoping to get the same response this year."
Last year the small school had an influx of 200 people for breakfast. This year, they are encouraging a similar turnout by offering bacon and sausage alongside the pancakes, courtesy of Ranch House Meats.
"You can kind of just show up as it opens," encouraged Waizer. "The more the merrier."
No sign-up is required, with tables open to members and students of this school, their families, and members of the Gull Lake community.
