The Saskatchewan Watershed Authority has issued a streamflow advisory.

Heavy rainfall in Alberta is causing some concerns for the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority.

The Authority has issued a streamflow advisory that applies to the South Saskatchewan River and provincial systems flowing into Lake Diefenbaker.

It expects the lake to increase by just under a metre.

As for the South Saskatchewan River, levels are expected to rise between one and two metres by next week.
