The Long Day’s Nights Music Festival will be kicking off tonight when the Oral Fuentes takes to the stage at the Windscape Kite Field.

Director of Cultural Festivals, Amanda Girardin, has been working hard to ensure that the event space is ready for opening night.

“We've got both main tents up,” she explained. “They went up on Monday so those are good to go. We got the walls on them, so everything is dry on the inside.”

The reggae band from Saskatoon will begin tonight's show at 8:30 p.m., with doors opening at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the festival can still be purchased at Pharmasave, Eventbrite, longdaysnight.ca, or at the doors upon arrival.

Girardin elaborated on the other artists making their way to the festival, beginning with the second performance tomorrow night.

“We're going to have Yukon Blonde with Wild Black that's going to be an awesome concert,” she said. “Saturday night, we've got Tanika Charles and Vissia, and then Sunday night rounding things out is JJ Shiplett.”

Beverages from the Black Bridge Brewery and the Brew Pub will also be available at the festival.
