The Identity Preserved Contract Program for Red Winter Select Wheat will be offered for the 2007-08 crop year by the Canadian Wheat Board.  Agronomist Mike Grenier says there are multiple benefits to growing a select variety, including a $10 per tonne contract premium.   Eligible varieties include A-C Bellatrix, Readymade, And Tempest, Plus C-D-C Buteo , C-D-C Osprey, Mcclintock, Norstar And Radiant.   The deadline to sign up is the end of October.
