Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation Radiothon raised $760,165 for innovative surgical equipment and lifesaving therapies at Saskatchewan’s only dedicated maternal and children’s hospital.

The 21st annual radiothon, presented by CIBC Wood Gundy, was broadcast on 25 radio stations across Saskatchewan on November 8 & 9. Donations made to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation Radiothon will be used to purchase equipment for innovative surgeries, increase capacity of care for scoliosis patients, and provide lifesaving therapies for acute kidney patients at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital.

“THANK YOU to each and every person who generously gave to this year’s provincial Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon. We are truly grateful to Saskatchewan for tuning in to their local radio station, picking up the phone and making a donation after hearing the real, inspirational stories of children from across the province who are receiving critical care at JPCH. We couldn’t have done this without the amazing support of our radio partners. Thank you for supporting babies, our children, moms-to-be, and families of this province,” said Brynn Boback-Lane, President and CEO of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.

In a news release, the Foundation further extends its gratitude to matching sponsors Gord and Barb Broda of Prince Albert, presenting sponsor CIBC Wood Gundy, and the incredible families, individuals and businesses across Saskatchewan who joined this year’s event. The Foundation also thanks event sponsors Information Services Corporation, CP, SaskTel, Save-on-Foods, Saskatchewan Blue Cross, Affinity Credit Union, Crescent Point, Viterra, GMR Electric, Jump.ca, Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation, Chicken Farmers of Saskatchewan, Enbridge, Schaan Healthcare, Mine Supply Co, Meridian Surveys, CommAlert, as well as their broadcasting media partners.

“On behalf of the CIBC Wood Gundy team here in Saskatchewan, I would like to thank the people of this province for their continued generosity in supporting the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon. Your donations will allow families from across this province access to timely and specialized care. We at CIBC Wood Gundy believe that the health and well-being of Saskatchewan children is one of the most important causes that we can make a contribution toward. Thank you again for your commitment to the same cause,” said Todd Dixon, District Branch Manager – Saskatchewan of CIBC Wood Gundy.
