Hudson Darby had a three-point night with a goal and two assists as the Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires got past the Regina Pat Canadians 4-3 on Tuesday night at Co-operators Centre.

Darby scored the opening goal at 6:01 of the first period, and then Zaden Sadlemyer equalized for Regina about two and a half minutes later before Eric Hoiness scored to put Swift Current up 2-1 after 20 minutes. Rylan Williams put the Legionnaires up 3-1 midway through the second and Ryan McDonald scored for the Pat-C's to cut their deficit to 3-2 after two. Cam Perlinger scored at the 6:02 mark of the third period to make it 4-2 for the Legionnaires, and that goal would wind up being the winner with Nolan Stevenson scoring for Regina to make the score 4-3 as Swift Current hung on for their eighth win in their last nine games.

Berney Weston made 22 saves for the Legionnaires to pick up the win a day after he was named the SJHL's goaltender of the week. The 2007-born goalie from Swift Current, who was picked 74th overall by the Swift Current Broncos in this year's WHL Prospects Draft, was called up by the Weyburn Red Wings for their game in Nipawin on Friday and made 29 saves in a 4-1 win over the Hawks.

The Legionnaires (8-3-0-1) return to action this weekend when they host a pair of games against the Yorkton Maulers.
