The Swift Current Home Hardware AAA Legionnaires continued to climb the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League standings this past weekend.

Saturday

Swift Current scored at least once in each period to breeze by the visiting Yorkton Maulers 5-1 Saturday night.

Kyle's Rylan Williams racked up a four-point night with a pair of goals and assists.

Legionnaires forward Kade Stringer had a goal and two helpers while Swift Current defenceman Theo McGuire netted two goals.

Gull Lake's Berney Weston improved to 8-1 on the season stopping 29 of the 30 shots sent his way.

Sunday

It was practically the same outcome on Sunday as the Legionnaires skated by Yorkton 5-0.

Kindersley's Cobe Perlinger scored twice while his brother Cam had three points in the win.

Swift Current's Theodore McGuire, Hudson Darby, and Parker Rondeau all had two points.

Goalie Jacob Morris made 29 saves for his first shutout.

With the two wins, Swift Current sits second in the league at 10-3-1 just a point back of the Regina Pat Canadians.

The Legionnaires will entertain the 5-9-1 Estevan Bears next Saturday and Sunday.
