The Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires started a busy stretch of three road games in three days with a 2-1 win over the Warman Wildcats Friday night at the Legends Centre.

After a scoreless opening frame, Cam Perlinger scored his seventh goal of the season for the Legionnaires 58 seconds into the second period, but Gavin Sawatzky tied it up for Warman just 36 seconds later. The 1-1 tie held up until midway through the third period when Jace Egland scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season on the power play, and the Legionnaires held on for their 14th win in their last 15 games. Berney Weston made 29 saves as Swift Current outshot Warman 35-30.

The Legionnaires (14-3-0-1) moved into a tie with the Regina Pat Canadians for second place in the SMAAAHL and will now travel to Tisdale for a pair of games against the Trojans on Saturday and Sunday.
