Lowry to Undergo Surgery, Broncos Call up Mackay

The Swift Current Broncos could lose one of their top scorers long term, as forward Adam Lowry is to undergo surgery today for a fractured wrist.

Lowry suffered the injury in the fourth game of the season, but the extent was not known until recently. There is no timeline for his return.

Lowry has scored 12 goals and has 37 points, sitting second in team scoring behind Taylor Vause.

 

The Broncos announced this morning that they have called up forward Zac Mackay from the Swift Current Home Hardware Midget Legionnaires, and he will be in the lineup for tonight's game against Prince Albert. Mackay has 10 goals in 24 games with the Legionnaires, and leads that team in assists with 18.

The Broncos return from the Christmas Break to take on the Raiders on TWO TWO TWOsday at the Credit Union iplex. The face-off is at 7:00pm and you can hear the game on the Eagle 94.1 starting at 6:30pm.
