Scott McLean scored the winning goal with just three seconds left in regulation as the Prince Albert Mintos ended a six-game winning streak for the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires with a 4-3 win at InnovationPlex on Saturday night.

Kade Stringer and Hudson Darby scored to give Swift Current a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes, and Sam Grosso cut the Mintos' deficit to 2-1 in the second period. Carter Cole tied the game at 2-2 early in the third before Parker Rondeau answered for Swift Current to get back the lead at 4-3. Will Whitter scored with eight minutes left to tie the game up at 4-4 before McLean's winning goal.

Jacob Morris made 15 saves for the Legionnaires, who outshot the Mintos 26-19.

The Legionnaires (6-3-0-1) will host the Mintos once again Sunday afternoon at InnovationPlex with the face-off at 1:45pm. The game is also being broadcast on B&A Petroleum Local Sports Live on the Eagle 94.1 FM.
