Morrow, Arlene Mae, age 86, of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Shaunavon Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was the oldest daughter born to Art and Marion Morrow in Shaunavon on August 29, 1936. Arlene spent most of her life in Alberta. She was an oil field cook on the rigs. When she wasn’t working she spent summers in Saskatchewan with Gail and Danny and family, or with her cousins Dallas and Marlis at Emma Lake. She loved camping and spending time at the cabin. After retiring she decided to move back to Saskatchewan. She always felt this was her home. She returned to Saskatchewan about 11 years ago. First to Swift Current, then to Shaunavon. Arlene’s greatest love besides her family was sports. She was a devoted Oilers fan, which gave her enjoyment to watch when they won. She also loved curling, baseball, and football. Any sports – especially watching kids, grandkids, and great grandkids play. She is survived by her daughters: Gail (Danny) Wallis of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan; Gail’s children: Ryan (Kirsten) Wallis, Kinae, Madden, Blakely, Benson, Lee (Kim) Wallis, Tyler, Kyren and Zane, Darcy (Sholeh) Wallis, Dalton, Dylan and Crystal Wallis, Haylan and Lloyden; her daughter Cheryl (Bruce) Blumhagen; Jodi Chilson, Cole, Bryce, Hanna, Pyper, and Bobbi Blumhagen (Aaron), Braeden (Courtnie) Booth, Reagan (Grady) Lomheim; Makenna, Jace; best friend and cousin Dallas; cousins, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Art and Marion; sister and brother-in-law Betty Lou and Abe Klassen; and great granddaughter Brinnley Wallis. She loved her family and will be missed by all of us. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Thanks to all the staff at the Shaunavon Nursing Home for the excellent love and care. Memorial donations may be made to the Shaunavon Long Term Care or charity of the donor’s choice.
