The Perlinger siblings from Kindersley lead a strong group from southwest AAA hockey teams heading to Prince Edward Island for the Canada Winter Games in 2023.

Caitlyn Perlinger of the Innovation Credit Union U18 Wildcats and her brothers Cam and Cobe, who play on the Home Hardware U18 Legionnaires, were added to the U16 male and U18 female hockey rosters for Team Saskatchewan this week. Caitlyn, in her second full year with the Wildcats, has nine goals and 27 points in her U18 AAA career, while Cobe (9 goals, 28 pts) and Cam (9 goals, 26pts) lead the Legionnaires in scoring with 54 combined points in their rookie seasons with the team.

Also added to Team Sask from the Legionnaires were goaltender Berney Weston from Gull Lake and forward Parker Rondeau from Swift Current, while the Wildcats will also send team leading scorers Sadie Keller from Gull Lake (6 goals, 18 pts) and Jerzey Watteyne of Lafleche (10 goals, 16 pts), as well as forward Ella Wingert and goaltender Paige Fischer, both from Rosetown.

The Canada Winter Games will be held from February 18 to March 5, 2023.

The Legionnaires host the Battlefords Stars Saturday at 8:00pm and Sunday at 1:45pm from InnovationPlex, while the Wildcats travel to the Battlefords to take on the Sharks this weekend.

Keller commits to U of M Bisons

The Wildcats also announced this week that Sadie Keller has committed to playing hockey for the University of Manitoba Bisons next season. Keller has 21 goals and 48 points in 49 career SFU18AAAHL games with the Wildcats.
