The annual walk to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s returned to the city with an in-person event over the weekend.

Angela Hodel, events coordinator for the Alzheimer's Society of Saskatchewan said that the day was a large success.

“It was the first time that we had our in person walk since pre COVID,” she explained. “So, we were really happy with the turn out that we did have. It was smaller than what we what we normally see, but still, everybody that came out was really excited to be there.”

Hodel added that the Swift Current event raised just over $7,000 locally and $110,000 provincially.
