Pioneer Co-op is getting ready to open up a freshly renovated fourth service station in Swift Current.

On Monday, folks will be able to pull up and fill up at the newly re-branded and upgraded gas station, located at the corner of South Service Road East and Sixth Avenue Northeast.

The station was formerly a Husky unit, which has come under the umbrella of Pioneer Co-op after the subsequent sale of the location.

The work includes updated graphics and signage, as well as Co-op fuel pumps and an updated interior.

Gas BArThe refilling station has been fitted with new pumps, as well as some new amenities.

Jane Fehr, a service station manager with Pioneer Co-op, shared some insights into the work being done.

"We will be providing the same full service for fuel products as our other city locations," said Fehr. "We will also have lottery tickets, cold beverages and snacks alongside our ice cream twist and coffee dispensers."

InteriorProduct has already began to fill the shelves and refrigeration units inside.

Opening just in time to catch the heat wave, they will also have slushie machines ready to go.

"This is an exciting time for Pioneer Co-op," said Fehr. "So please come in and see us."

The pumps and doors will be opening May 8, providing access for local Co-op members heading east before they leave town.
