Fine dining and fine company were present at last night's Swift Current & District Business Excellence Awards (SCBEX).

Finalists from the eight categories gathered together with members of the Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce at the Living Sky Casino Event Centre. The night celebrated not only the winners but also the nominees who help make Swift Current a vibrant place to live and do business in.

Hosting the night, was Karla Wiens, CEO of the Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce.

"Tonight to be back with the full room and seeing the smiling faces and excitement from everyone, it's so nice to get out and visit with people and celebrate," Wiens remarked.

She presented the introduction for each category, as well as who was in the running before handing the reveal off to a guest announcer, who differed with every envelope.

After everyone had a chance to eat and mingle, the award presentations began.

Wiens began by addressing the crowded room, speaking to the merit of everyone who had been nominated. She then opened with a brief introduction for each of the nominees, some of their stories, and why they had been selected for the potential prize.
