A second Swift Current individual facing arson charges has pled guilty to a lesser charge in Swift Current provincial court.

27-year-old Austin Hill pled guilty to one count of accessory after the fact in relation to arson, stemming back from a fire at Winks Convenience Store, Marty's Auto Detailing, and U-Haul trailer rentals back in November.

Hill was initially charged with Break and Enter contrary to Section 348(1) of the Criminal Code and Arson contrary to Section 434 of the Criminal Code.

The 27-year-old was sentenced to a conditional sentence order for the duration of six months.

Those conditions include 24-hour house arrest, with some exceptions.

Joshua Neufeld, who was facing the same charges in relation to the fire, pled guilty to six charges in Swift Current provincial court last month.
