The Full Line Ag U18 Wildcats swept a weekend road swing with a 7-3 win over the Northeast Aces on Saturday and a 4-3 win over the Warman Wildcats on Sunday, and the Graphic Edge U15 Wildcats beat the Southeast Gold Wings 5-1 on Saturday and skated to a 2-2 tie on Sunday.
Oilers get much-needed win in the great outdoors
The Edmonton Oilers got a big boost with the return of captain Connor McDavid from injury and scored three goals in the first period en route to a 5-2 win over the Calgary Flames in the NHL's Heritage Classic outdoor game at Commonwealth Stadium on Sunday.
Evander Kane had a goal and two assists and Leon Draisaitl added a couple of helpers. Brett Kulak, Zach Hyman, Evan Bouchard and Vincent Desharnais also scored for the Oilers, who snapped a four-game losing streak.
Nine games are on the NHL schedule tonight with Montreal visiting Vegas and Winnipeg hosting the Rangers.
