A long-standing annual tradition across Canada was carried out in at least one southwestern Saskatchewan community last week.
The Terry Fox Run continued on in Shaunavon Thursday with a 3.5-kilometre trek beginning at the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Centre.
According to the Terry Fox website, $175 was raised from the event.
While in Swift Current there was no group run this year.
However, 13 donors combined to donate $875 to the Terry Fox Foundation which will be used towards cancer research.
This was the 42nd year the run has taken place.
