51 years after making it's debut, UNICEF's orange box is being replaced.

 

Instead of children taking the box out when they go trick or treating, schools are now buying a DVD to teach students about children in other countries.

Prairie Director Stephanie Yamniuk says kids will better understand the program this way.

"The reason that we changed the program is we want kids to know the impact that they're having by working with UNICEF", says Yamniuk.

Every 20 dollars that's raised will buy school supplies for 2 students.  Other funds will go towards purchasing desks, and play equipment.
