In the February 4 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total number of 770 new confirmed cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 770 new cases there are 19 from the South West zone - 6 in South West subzone 1, and 13 in South West subzone  2.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 121,516, of which 9,981 are considered active.

There are 272 active cases in the South West zone - 81 in South West subzone 1, and 191 in South West subzone 2.

There are 4 new deaths reported, none of those in the South West zone, bringing the provincial total number of deaths to 1,005.

There are 1,057 recoveries reported, 26 of those in the South West zone, bringing the provincial total number of recoveries to 110,530.

There are  363 people in the hospital - 329 receiving inpatient care, and 34 in intensive care.

Of the 329 patients receiving inpatient care, 133 are a COVID-19 related illness, 179 are incidental COVID-19 infections, and 17 have not yet been determined.

Of the 33 patients in intensive care, 23 are for COVID-19 related illness, and 10 are for incidental COVID-19 infections.

There is 1 resident in PICU/NICU for COVID-19 related illness.

There were 1,033 COVID-19 vaccinations administered yesterday, 15 of those in the South West zone.
