In the September 29 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority there is a total of seven new cases of the virus being reported today.

Of those seven new cases, there are six in the Regina zone, and one in the Central East zone.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 1,899, of which 138 are considered active.

There are no active cases reported in the South West zone.

There were eighteen more recoveries reported today, bringing that provincial total to 1,737.

There are eight people in the hospital, all receiving inpatient care - six are in Saskatoon, one is in Regina and one is in the South West zone.

There have been twenty four deaths related to COVID-19.

To date, there has been 189,515 COVID-19 tests done in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 1,447 COVID-19 tests done.
