In the October 2 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority there are a total of thirteen new cases reported in the province.

Of those thirteen new cases, there is one in the North Central zone, one in the North East zone, six in the Saskatoon zone, four in the Central East zone, and one in the South Central zone.

That brings the provincial total number of cases of COVID-19 to 1,940, of which 147 are considered active.

There are currently two active cases in the South West zone.

There have been ten more recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 1,769.

There are six people in hospital, all receiving inpatient care-three of those are in Saskatoon, one is in Regina, and two are in the South West zone. There is no one in intensive care.

There have been 24 deaths related to COVID-19 reported so far in the province.

To date, 195,286 COVID-19 tests have been done in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there were 2,280 COVID-19 tests done.
