With West Nile Virus now here in southern Saskatchewan, it's very important that we take the proper precautions to avoid becoming infected with the potentially deadly disease.

Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. Ross Findlater, says a crow found on July 4th in the Regina area has tested positive for West Nile, meaning the disease has officially returned for another season.

Dr. Findlater says using the proper precautions like bug spray and long sleeves and pants at high-risk times of the day are essential at this time of the year.
