Kyla Benjamin scored twice and added an assist as the Swift Current Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats picked up a 3-1 win over the Prince Albert Mann-Northway Northern Bears on Saturday at S3 Arenas.

Benjamin opened the scoring with 2:01 left in the first before Zayda Summach tied it up on the power play 1:24 into the second. Benjamin broke the tie with 3:26 left in the middle frame and Olivia Ferguson tallied the insurance marker with 6:40 left in the third period.

Paige Fischer made 24 saves as Swift Current outshot Prince Albert 25-18.

The Wildcats (1-3-1-2) host the Bears again at 1:15 on Sunday afternoon from S3 Arenas.

Impact blanked by Rebels

The Southwest Impact fell 6-0 to the Regina Junior Rebels in SJFHL action in the Queen City on Saturday. Brianna Westerman scored twice for Regina and Nyah Lang added a goal and two assists.

The two teams play again tonight in Regina.
