Swift Current will once again get the luxury of live performances during Frontier Days 2022 as multiple remarkably talented artists are set to take the stage at the grandstands.

The series of performances will kick off tonight when the brother and sister duo, The Reklaws, takes to the stage.

Chris Martens, with the Swift Current Ag and Ex, said that he is looking forward to the jam-packed entertainment in store for this year.

“We've got our very first kickoff show at the Grandstands, at 8:00 p.m.,” he stated. “The Reklaws will be performing, man have we heard a lot of good stuff about those guys. “It's going to be just a fantastic show, and July 1st, on Canada Day at 8:00 p.m. Grandstand entertainment features Jade Eagleson with special guests the Rivertown Saints.”

The Recklaws, from rural Ontario, is made up of Jenna and Stuart Walker. The pair went viral on TikTok last year with their hit “What the Truck,”

Last year also saw the pair land six 2021 CCMA Awards nominations, making them the most nominated artists for 2021.

Also making the journey from Ontario, is country star, Jade Eagleson, who kicked off the year with his first-ever JUNO nomination for Country Album of the Year and followed that up with 2 nominations for the upcoming 2021 CCMA Awards (Male Artist of the Year and Fans’ Choice).

His recent single ‘More Drinkin’ than Fishin’ ft. Dean Brody recently reached #1 on the Canadian country radio charts.

The two concerts will be followed up by a cabaret on Saturday night, which will feature the musical group, Men Without Shame.
