The Swift Current U11 AA 57's managed to open up their season with a series of wins, only taking on a single loss.

Last weekend, they played back-to-back doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday. 

Saturday, the hometown team met the Regina Buffalos on the field, delivering them a pair of losses scored 7-5 and 12-4. 

Sunday the young 57's managed to take the first game against the Lumsden Cubs 18-10, but would later fall in a much closer game of 3-2.

Some highlight hitters for Swift Current were Linden Wagner, who managed to go 7 and 10 with 2 home runs. Carson Uteck went 7 for 14, and Avery Christianson had a strong 6 and 14.

This weekend, the team is headed to Regina for the upcoming tournament.
