The Head Athletic Trainer of the Swift Current Broncos felt a great sense of national pride as he had a chance to represent his country as the equipment manager for Canada's recent entry at the U18 hockey tournament.

"It's been the hockey highlight of my career," said Jamie LeBlanc. "Travelling over with the great group of staff and players that we had... when we flew to the Czech Republic to compete at the U18 championship was an experience that I'll never forget."

LeBlanc was very impressed by the way the Canadian team rebounded from an emotional loss to the US in the semi-final to beat Finland 5-4 in the bronze medal game.

"Kudos to the staff and players to still be able to get up for that game," LeBlanc said. "It was an emotional game against the US and it's pretty easy for the guys to get down and look at the bronze as an after thought. We were able to pull everything together."

It was LeBlanc's first trip to Europe and he enjoyed getting to know the country a little bit.

He adds if Hockey Canada ever called him again he wouldn't hesitate for a second in saying yes.
