Three Swift Current establishments are partnering up for a jam-packed afternoon of fun in support of the local SaskAbilities branch.

The second annual Uptown Block Party will take over the parking lot of Shoppers Drug Mart, Urban Cellars, and Original Joe's tomorrow with an array of fun for kids and adults.

Pharmacist and owner of Shoppers in Swift Current, Paul Bazin, is excited for the proceeds to once again benefit an important organization in the southwest.

"This is really a way for us to be able to support the community, I know [SaskAbilities is] a really important to asset to our community and we want to make sure that we can give back any way we can," he said.

Local singer-songwriter Dillon Currie will start the day with live music as the grills fire up at 11 a.m. They'll be serving up fresh burgers with several drink vendors for tastings, and kids can enjoy candy bags and bouncy houses. Giveaways and raffles will also be going on throughout the afternoon.
