Two new washer and dryer sets are being installed free of charge for the SPCA this week.

Len's Plumbing and Heating are set to make the upgrade tomorrow, according to owner Tom Westbury.

“We're donating because the SPCA is important to us and important to our community," he said. "And here at Len's, we like to give back."

Westbury said the donation came about when the shelter asked his company for a quote on installing a new set.

Upon hearing their need for the machines, he decided to supply everything free of charge to make it easier on the non-profit.

"There's a lot of laundry at the SPCA," Westbury explained. "They only had one washer and dryer before, and it was hard for them to keep up--and [the old set] wasn't working right. So, having two sets is going to make it a lot easier for their staff to keep up with all the laundry that they need to do every day."

Anyone interested in making a donation to the SPCA can visit their bookstore located in downtown Swift Current, fill out a form for a monetary donation here, or give them a call at (306) 773-1806.
