Jerzey Watteyne led the way with three goals and an assist as the Swift Current Innovation Credit Union Wildcats picked up a big 9-0 win over the Battlefords Sharks on the road Saturday.

Calla Kampen had two goals for the Wildcats while Tess Bakus had a goal and two assists for a three-point night. Evangeline Hill had a goal and a helper and Sadie Keller and Olivia Kirwan added two assists each. Caitlyn Perlinger and Kyla Benjamin also scored and Addison Eurich and Alexa Kobley each had an assist. Karlee Lehner made 25 saves for her third shutout of the season as the Wildcats outshot the Battlefords 44-25.

The win puts Swift Current (11-4-0-0) in a first-place tie with Regina in the league standings with 33 points with the Rebels having a game in hand.

The two teams play again Sunday afternoon in Battleford in the Wildcats' final league game before they head to Wilcox for the Mandi Schwartz Memorial Tournament at Notre Dame starting on Thursday.
