A chunk of the southwest is still under a snowfall warning as of this morning

While most of the prairies received its first taste of winter, the heavy snow should taper off from west to east through the day.

Environment and Climate Change Canada is advising residents to be prepared for poor visibilities and accumulating snow or slush on roadways. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for taillights and be prepared to stop.

North winds come with this system, bringing in temperatures in the negatives and blowing snow in local areas.
