The U18 AAA 57’s had their double header against the Saskatoon Diamondbacks rained out on Saturday, but played two games against the Regina Wolfpack on Sunday, falling 14-4 and 6-0. Carson Rokochy drove in two runs in the opener for the 57's, who host the Regina Athletics in their next game on Thursday night.

The 15U AAA 57's had their game against the Southeast A's rained out on Sunday, but the 13U AAA 57’s beat the Regina Padres 11-6 and 11-4 at home on Friday before losing to the Regina Expos 8-7 on Sunday in the Queen City.

The 11U AAA 57’s lost 6-5 to the Regina Yankees on Saturday before sweeping the White Butte Broncos 14-6 and 12-2 on Sunday.

Hofer, Canada claim world hockey gold

Sammy Blais scored twice as Canada beat Germany 5-2 to capture a record 28th gold medal at the World Hockey Championship on Sunday in Finland. Former Broncos goalie Joel Hofer played two games at the event to earn his second international gold medal to go along with the World Junior gold he won in 2020.

Berrios pitches gem as Jays take series against Twins

Jose Berrios struck out five batters over five and two-thirds innings as the Toronto Blue Jays beat Minnesota 3-0 to take two of three against the Twins. Alejandro Kirk drove in two runs for the Jays, who start a three-game homestand against the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday.
