With Remembrance Day coming up tomorrow, and the world slowly going back to pre-pandemic ways, there's no shortage of things to do in the southwest to commemorate the fallen.
From services and parades, to lunches and public talks, there's something for everyone.
Swift Current:
Cenotaph Service – 8:45 a.m. at the Legion, parade going to the cenotaph (will be livestreamed for folks who can’t make it out, thanks to Ryan Switzer and Flying Fox Media)
Swift Current Comprehensive High School Service – 10:50 a.m. in the lobby, parade going to the cafeteria
Legion Hall Luncheon – 2:00 p.m. with speakers Riley Sharpe and Chris Garner
Gull Lake:
Lest We Forget Ceremony – 10:45 a.m. at the Gull Lake Community Hall followed by a soup and sandwich lunch
Herbert:
Remembrance Day Service – 10:57 a.m. held outdoors at Memorial Park
Brunch – 11:30 a.m. Lion’s Hall by the Herbert Ministerial
Shaunavon:
Legion Remembrance Day Service – 10:45 a.m. at the Legion Hall with a march to the cenotaph, followed by a sandwich lunch and coffee
Roast Beef Supper – 5:00 p.m. doors open, and 6:00 p.m. dinner is served at the Legion Hall, followed by a guest speaker presentation
