A roundtable discussion on how to implement a dual marketing system in Western Canada for wheat and barley will be held later this month. The Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association has been invited to participate. President Cherilyn Jolly-Nagel has a number of issues she wants to bring up, including the establishment of a firm deadline for implementation. She also wants to ensure the changeover goes as smoothly as possible. To ensure this deadlines to contract with the Canadian Wheat Board need to be established as well. The meeting will be chaired by Cypress Hills/Grasslands MP David Anderson and willl take place in Saskatoon on July 27th.
