The Innovation Credit Union U18 AAA Wildcats picked up a second straight win in the Battlefords with a 3-2 victory over the Sharks on Sunday.

The Wildcats scored the first three goals of the game with Jerzey Watteyne scoring twice and Calla Kampen adding a power play marker with 3:15 left in the third period. Martine Morelli and Maci Nowosad scored 16 seconds apart for the Battlefords late in the third, but the Wildcats held on to take their fourth straight win.

Watteyne added an assist for a three-point game, while Caitlyn Perlinger had two assists and Ella Wingert, Sadie Keller and Addison Eurich added helpers. Paige Fischer made 31 saves as Swift Current outshot the Battlefords 39-33.

The Wildcats (12-4-0-0) remain in a first-place tie with the Regina Rebels as they get set to compete at the Mandi Schwartz Memorial Tournament, which gets underway Thursday at Notre Dame. Their next league game will be in Prince Albert on December 17.
