Great Southwest Shakespeare Festival Continues
The penultimate weekend of the Great Southwest Shakespeare Festival features performances of As You Like It and The Tempest right through the weekend.
When: As You Like It Saturday and Sunday at 1:30pm, The Tempest Friday at 12:00 midnight and Saturday and Sunday at 6:30pm.
Where: Under the big tent at Riverside Park

Colour the Lake at Lac Pelletier
Colour the Lake is a non-competitive fun run where participants will have five different colours thrown at them while running, walking, or dancing along the five-kilometre course. A barbecue will be held for the participants afterwards.
When: Saturday, August 13 at 10:00am

Drag Racing Season Finale
The Swift Current Drag Racing Association is putting on their final race weekend of the season with action happening at the Swift Current Airport both Saturday and Sunday.
When: Gates open at 8:00am on Saturday and Sunday with racing starting at 10:00am.
Where: Swift Current Airport
Cost: $10 per day, children 12 and under are free
Celebrating the Airmen’s Billet at Doc’s Town
A new display featuring photos of the Airmen’s Billet from its time as a fighter pilot school in World War II will be unveiled in a special event at Doc’s Town on Sunday. As usual, the other heritage buildings and Country Pleasures Tea Room will be open throughout the weekend.
When: Sunday, August 14 from 1:00-5:00pm
Where: Doc’s Town Heritage Village at Kinetic Exhibition Park
