It is with very heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Barbara Ann Morck (nee Grant) on December 7, 2018 after a short but painful battle with cancer.

Anyone who met Barb was touched by her heart, her smile, and the welcoming way about her. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who cared fiercely for the people who she called family (which is pretty well anyone she ever met).

Barb loved children, animals, travel, and spending time in her garden.

Barb grew up in Swift Current but made a home in Calgary for almost fifty years.

She showed her daughters work ethic and commitment, as a working mom. She spent a large part of her career as an Advertising Sales Associate at the Calgary Herald. She won Salesperson of the year for several years in a row. This was a testament to her warm personality and the way in which she truly cared about every person that she met.

Barb and Paul loved to travel and were lucky enough to visit twenty-two countries where they had many adventures and laughs. Barb loved to laugh. Throughout their years together, Barb and Paul collected and kept many new friends.

She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and loving husband, Paul. She is also survived by her mother, Esther Grant from Swift Current, and her brothers, Bill (predeceased Doreen), Don (Angel), and Ron (Habiba) Grant. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Michelle (Cam), and Paulette (Bill), and her grandchildren, Amani, Kendle, Riley, and Marcus. She also leaves behind a legacy of love for many family and friends.

She is predeceased by her father, William Grant and her brother, Jim Grant.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and if you would like to be informed of this date and time please email the family at barbaraann@bilco.ca. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

In the multiple health care facilities we have visited, in these past several months, we have been so thankful for the care that Barb received by compassionate doctors, nurses, and health care aides.

We would not have made it through this time if it weren't for the kindness, professionalism, and love that was given to us by Rosedale Hospice, so we do ask, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Rosedale Hospice, #1245 – 70 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 2X8 Telephone: (403) 284 – 5195,  www.hospicecalgary.ca/rosedale.

In living memory of Barbara Morck, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, CALGARY, AB, T2E 2V6,   Telephone: 403-243-8200.
