The 16U Girls Junior Sundogs Black club team were in action for their first tournament of the season in Lumsden over the weekend.

The 16U Girls Sundogs took home the bronze medal at the Lumsden Invitational.

They won all four round robin games in straight sets:

vs. Regina Summit Red (25-21, 26-24)
vs. Vibank (25-13, 25-12)
vs. Regina QCVC Shockwave (25-7, 25-21)
vs. Saskatoon JCVC Red (25-22, 25-16)

Into the semi-final, the Junior Sundogs dropped a match with Saskatoon HVC in three sets (25-22, 25-27, 12-15).

The 16U Girls Black team then rebounded in the third-place game, winning in straight sets over the host Lumsden Rage (25-22, 25-16).

The 16U Girls Junior Sundogs Black head to Saskatoon February 9-10 for SaskCup #1, where 40 teams from across the province will be competing.
