After an eight-day selection camp in Calgary, Diamond Energy Female Midget 'AAA' Wildcats defenceman Taylor Kirwan has made the final cuts of Hockey Canada's National Women's Under-18 team.

The 5'8" Gull Lake native is one of four players from Saskatchewan to earn one of 24 roster spots out of 42 camp attendees, alongside a trio of Grace Shirley, Willow Slobodzian, and Mackenna Parker from the Saskatoon Stars.

Kirwan and the 24-player Team Canada roster now look to Lake Placid, NY. for a three-game series against the United States with games August 17,18, and 20.

Last season with the Wildcats, Kirwan had three goals and ten assists in 19 regular season games, and another goal and assist in seven playoff games.
