With the drama and comeback wins throughout the 2017 WMBL playoffs, it's no surprise that trend continued for the Swift Current 57's in Game 4 of the WMBL Championship series against the Edmonton Prospects.

The 57's evened up the series on the road last night in Edmonton with a 6-4 win, after plating three runs in the top half of the eighth inning.

Down 4-3 in the frame, Riley Campbell hit a two-run single, one of his game-high four hits on the day, scoring John Baiada and Cole Thibideau on the play. Campbell later became the final run of the game to score for Swift Current after a wild pitch by Prospects reliever Andrew Grieder.

The lead proved more than enough for 57's closer Keil Krumwiede, who worked the final two and one-third innings of the ball game, surrendering two hits and holding Edmonton scoreless to pick up the win.

Krumwiede came on in relief in the seventh inning for starter Bobby St. Pierre, who gave up four runs on four hits over six and two-thirds of work, and most importantly for head coach Joe Carnahan and the 57's squad, it gave them a chance to win Game 4 and extend the series.

The win gives the Swift Current 57's the opportunity to close out the playoffs at home tonight in the fifth and final game of the WMBL Championship series.

Game 5 goes tonight from Mitchell Field in Swift Current at 7:05 p.m.
