Another opening-round playoff match-up against a team from 'The Friendly City' for Swift Current.

A 4-3 best-of-seven series win for the Swift Current Broncos against the Moose Jaw Warriors in late March and early April helped the team advance to the second round of the WHL playoffs, where they faced off against the Regina Pats.

Fast-forward to August, and take a short walk north from the Innovation Credit Union iPlex to Mitchell Field, and the Swift Current 57's find themselves in a similar position in round one of playoff action.

Facing off against the Moose Jaw Miller Express after a league-wide day off before playoffs get underway, the first place 57's will be looking to start building the momentum early in game one and the best-of-five series, and avoid letting the series go the distance.

Bobby St. Pierre is expected to start on the mound in game one for the 57's after being named a WMBL First-Team all-star yesterday. The right-hander shone with a 2.75 ERA and 46 strikeouts over 62 innings this season for Swift Current.

First pitch of game one gets underway tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Mitchell Field.
