The mesh in the Fairview West arena nets got a workout this weekend, as the Kabos Bantam AA Broncos were back in town for three games.

In game one on Friday, the Bantam Broncos welcomed the Estevan Bruins to town, and jumped out to an early lead, scoring four goals in the first period - two were scored 17 seconds apart.

Leading 4-0, the Broncos continued to pile on, leading 7-1 after 40 minutes, and ending the game with an 11-3 win.

Putting up 57 shots in the win, the Broncos leaned on scoring from Keagon Little, who recorded a hat trick and added two assists, and Kalan Lind, whose added two goals and two assists. Six other Bantam AA Broncos had themselves multi-point games in the win.

Night two against the Weyburn Wings was a slightly different game, as no Swift Current player had more than a single point in the contest.

The Broncos jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first period on goals by Lind and Jaydon Jessiman. Captain Hayden Wilm put a third unanswered goal on the board for Swift Current in the second period.

The Wings did find the back of the net on two power-play goals in the final frame, but it was too little, too late for the visiting team as the Broncos snuck out a 3-2 win.

Closing out the weekend on Sunday, the Kabos Broncos found Friday's rhythm in another lop-sided win, this time against the Martensville Marauders.

A Noah Wills goal 52 seconds into the game set the tone for Swift Current, who added two more in the first period to lead 3-1.

The second frame saw another three goals, including one on the power play by Ryan McCleary with just three seconds remaining in the period.

Somehow one-upping the previous two periods, Swift came out flying in the third, putting four goals on the board, while Martensville managed two of their own.

In the 10-3 win, Brady Wilson had a hat trick and one assist, while Joe Arntsen (2 G, 2 A) and Keagon Little (4 A) were the trio of Broncos to record four-point games.

Little led his team this weekend, amassing 10 points in the three home wins.

The win-streak to start the 2017-18 regular season is at seven games for the south division-leading Kabos Bantam AA Broncos, who are on the road Thursday, October 19 against the Regina Aces in the provincial capital, trying to go 8-0.
