The new-look coaching staff is set for the 2018-19 Swift Current Broncos.

Today they announced the additions of Brandin Cote and Scott Dutertre as assistants, where they'll join Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Dean Brockman.

Cote formerly played with the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL and in the AHL with the Norfolk Admirals and was an assistant with the Prince Albert Raiders in 2016-17.

Cote, a native of Swift Current, is also an assistant for Team Alberta's U16 team, with the 2019 Canada Winter Games coming up. He also served as head coach for the Red Deer Optimist Chiefs midget 'AAA' club from 2014-16.

“My family and I are extremely excited and honoured to join the Swift Current Broncos.” said Cote in a release on the Broncos website. “I was born and raised in Swift Current, and to have the opportunity to come back to the city where my love & passion for the game all started is an amazing feeling. I am looking forward to working with Dean Brockman and all of the players & staff to continue the strong tradition of Swift Current Broncos hockey.”

Dutertre is a Dinsmore, Sask. native, and has been an assistant with the men's and women's hockey programs for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in U-Sports.

“I’m excited to be a part of the Broncos organization and work in such a great hockey community,” said Dutertre, also in the release on scbroncos.com. “It’s a tremendous opportunity to work with Dean and I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the team and our players.”

Cote and Dutertre will be in attendance alongside Brockman when training camp starts later this month.
